Use two wrenches to loosen or tighten the locknut.
The maximum speed is set at the factory and this adjustment must not be changed. As with idle speed, maximum speed is controlled by the injected fuel quantity. This adjustment requires special equipment. The illustration shows the adjustment location. The bolt is secured by a locknut. If you have experience with injection engines, the bolt can be temporarily adjusted to start the engine so you can drive to the nearest service station.
