GENERAL INFORMATION

Front Seats

Correct seat position is important for:

– quick and reliable operation of the controls – relaxed, non-fatiguing posture – achieving the maximum protective effect of the seat belts and airbag system.

CAUTION

Therefore, do not move the front seats too close to the steering wheel / instrument panel. While driving, your feet must be in the footwell, never on the instrument panel or seat cushions.

Adjust your seat as described below. Also refer to the basic adjustment of the driver's and front passenger seats shown below.

Driver's seat

We recommend the following adjustment of the driver's seat:

– Adjust the longitudinal position of the driver's seat so that you can fully depress the pedals with your legs slightly bent. – Adjust the backrest angle so that the backrest surface fully contacts your back and you can reach the top of the steering wheel with your arms slightly bent.

CAUTION

Do not place any objects in the footwell. In an emergency braking situation they could get under the pedals. In this case you will not be able to brake, depress the clutch or press the accelerator pedal!

Front passenger seat

The following adjustment of the front passenger seat is recommended:

– Upright (vertical) backrest position. – Comfortable leg position in the footwell. – Move the seat as far back as possible.

To allow the driver to unlock and fold the front passenger seat backrest, an additional release handle is located on the left side of the passenger seat.

CAUTION

For safety reasons, the front seat backrests must always be locked while driving!

2 Backrest angle adjustment

Relieve the load on the seat backrest and adjust its angle by turning the handle.

CAUTION

To avoid impairing the protective effect of the seat belts, do not recline the seat backrests too far rearward while driving.

3 Seat height adjustment*

Seat height is adjusted by pushing or pulling the handle.

CAUTION

For safety reasons, do not adjust the driver's seat height while driving! Be careful when adjusting the height. Inattention or loss of control during adjustment may result in injury.

Press the switch forward or backward to extend or retract the lumbar support, changing the curvature of the backrest upholstery in the lumbar area.

This provides exceptionally effective support of the lumbar spine along its entire natural contour, with a seating position that does not cause fatigue even on long trips.

5 Longitudinal seat adjustment

Pull the handle up and move the seat. Then release the handle and slide the seat until the latch engages.

CAUTION
