Sliding Sunroof Motor Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

1. Using a small screwdriver, remove the interior lamp. Disconnect the plug connector.
2. Remove the visor with a screwdriver. Disconnect the switch plug connector.

3. Remove the Torx screws using a 25 mm bit.

4. Remove the panel drive unit and disconnect the plug connector.

INSTALLATION

1. Install the panel drive unit and connect it. Secure it with two short screws (2) and one long screw (1) to a torque of 3 N·m. Always use new screws. If new screws are not available, coat the old screws with LOCTITE 270 thread locker.

2. Connect the switch plug connector and install the cover.
3. Connect the interior lamp plug connector and install the lamp.

Sliding Sunroof Initialization

PROCEDURE

1. Move the panel to the tilt-up position, press and hold the panel switch in the direction of "Hebestellung" ("Lift position").
2. Hold the switch in the lift position for 5 s:
a) after each power interruption, or
b) after panel adjustment.
3. Hold the switch in the lift position for 20 s:
a) after malfunctions
b) after disconnecting the drive unit
c) when working on cable drives.
4. Initialization is complete when the switch is pressed once more in the direction of the lift position.
