1.8/2.0 L engine Caution: The intermediate shaft bearing is not available as a spare part. If necessary, replace the complete intermediate shaft. Removal

  • Remove the right drive shaft from the intermediate shaft flange and suspend it with wire so that the outer CV joint is not bent excessively.

  • Remove the 3 mounting bolts - 1 - of the intermediate shaft from the bearing.

Zwischenwelle aus- und einbauen

  • Pull the complete intermediate shaft out of the transmission.

    Remove the dust shield ring.

Zwischenwelle aus- und einbauen

  • Carefully guide the intermediate shaft out of the engine compartment.

Installation

  • Slide on the dust shield ring and insert the intermediate shaft into the transmission.

  • Bolt the intermediate shaft to the intermediate bearing.

  • Bolt the right drive shaft to the intermediate shaft flange.
