Description and Operation

Description

The fuel pressure control valve, installed on the high-pressure fuel pump, controls fuel supply to the injectors according to the ECM signal calculated based on various engine operating conditions.

Inspection

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

  2. Disconnect the fuel pressure control valve connector.

  3. Measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of the fuel pressure control valve.

  4. Make sure the resistance is within specification.

    Specification: approx. 0.5 Ω [20 °C]
