Recommended Fuel

~2min read

Always use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 95 or higher that complies with GOST.

The quality of the fuel and the additives it contains have a significant effect on engine power, vehicle performance and engine service life. Fuel with a low octane rating may cause engine knock (detonation).

• Using fuel with an octane rating below 95 may cause engine damage. Repair of an engine with characteristic knock damage is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
• Using leaded fuel will damage the exhaust system and void the warranty. Using fuel that does not comply with GOST R 51105-97 "Fuels for Internal Combustion Engines. Unleaded Gasoline. Specifications" and/or GOST R 51866-2002 "Motor Fuels.

Unleaded Gasoline. Specifications"

may cause engine damage and void the warranty. For more information on fuel, contact your dealer.

To prevent accidental use of leaded gasoline, your vehicle's fuel tank filler neck is smaller in diameter than the leaded gasoline dispensing nozzle.

Do not use methanol (methyl alcohol). Do not use fuel containing methanol when refueling the vehicle.

Using such fuel will degrade vehicle performance and damage fuel system components.

Using methanol may damage the fuel system.

Failure to observe these operating rules may void the warranty.

Operation in Foreign Countries When driving the vehicle in another country:
• Observe all legal requirements for registration and insurance.
• Make sure suitable fuel is available.

Using the wrong type of fuel or adding incorrect additives to the fuel tank may cause serious damage to the engine and catalytic converter.

When refueling, make sure you use the correct fuel (gasoline or diesel) for this vehicle.

Refueling with the wrong type of fuel may cause serious vehicle damage requiring costly repairs that are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

The type of fuel to use is also indicated on the fuel filler cap.
