PARKING BRAKE

The parking brake acts on the rear wheels.

The parking brake lever is located between the front seats.

To apply the parking brake, stop the vehicle, depress the brake pedal, and pull the lever up firmly.

To release the parking brake, depress the brake pedal and:

1. Pull the lever up slightly.

2. Press the button on the end of the lever.

3. Lower the lever while holding the button depressed.

If the parking brake is not applied correctly, the vehicle may roll away unexpectedly. If adjustment is required, contact an authorized Chevrolet dealer.

• Do not drive the vehicle with the parking brake applied.

This may cause the rear brake components to overheat or wear prematurely. In this case, the brake components may need to be replaced, and other parts of the vehicle may be damaged.

• Do not park or drive the vehicle over flammable materials.

If such materials come into contact with hot exhaust system components underneath the vehicle, a fire may occur.
