Remove or disconnect:

PROCEDURE.

1. Transmission housing.

2. Mounting bolts and flywheel

116..

3. Clutch cover and clutch driven disc 115 (manual transmission only)..

4. Remove the rear seal

117. Clean the seal seat in the block and the seal surface of the shaft..

Warning.

Rear crankshaft seal 117 can be replaced without removing

oil pan or crankshaft..

Installation

PROCEDURE.

1. Install new rear seal 117 into the cylinder block bore..

1a. Press the seal evenly around the entire circumference..

1b. To facilitate installation, lubricate the outer surface of the seal..

2. Flywheel: tighten bolts to 35 N·m torque, then tighten bolts an additional 30°–45°..

Warning.

Use only new bolts..

3. Disc 115, clutch cover 114: tighten bolts to 35 N·m torque. Clutch cover mounting bolts may be reused..

4. Transmission housing.
