Remove or disconnect:

PROCEDURE.

1. Exhaust pipe from exhaust manifold..

2. Spark plug wires.

3. Heat shield

4. Oxygen sensor wires..

5. Eight nuts of exhaust pipe in the following sequence: 8–7–6–5–4–3–2–

1..

6. Exhaust manifold 23 and gasket

22..

7. Mating surfaces of cylinder head and exhaust manifold..

Installation

PROCEDURE.

1. Install exhaust manifold 23 with new gasket 22, screw on eight nuts. Tighten exhaust manifold nuts to 25 N·m (in sequence.

1–2–3–4–5–6–7–8)..

2. Connect exhaust pipe to manifold. Tighten nuts to 25 N·m..

3. Oxygen sensor wire..

4. Heat shield

5. Spark plug wires.
