Temporary Spare Wheel
When using the space-saving compact spare wheel, observe the following points:
The temporary spare wheel may be fitted to the front or rear axle.
The temporary spare wheel is intended for temporary and short-term use only. If the wheel has to be fitted after a tyre puncture, replace it with a standard wheel as soon as possible.
After fitting the temporary spare wheel, check the tyre pressure as soon as possible.
Do not drive faster than 80 km/h with the temporary spare wheel fitted. Avoid full-throttle acceleration, hard braking and fast cornering.
The temporary spare wheel is narrower than the standard wheel and should only be used for a short time until the standard wheel has been repaired. The tyre on the temporary spare wheel is designed for a total distance of approx. 3000 km.
The temporary spare wheel is designed specifically for this vehicle model. It must therefore not be used on other vehicle models.
Likewise, temporary spare wheels from other vehicle models must not be used.
Snow chains must not be used on the space-saving temporary spare wheel for technical reasons. If driving with snow chains is necessary, then in the event of a front tyre puncture, fit the temporary spare wheel to the rear axle and move the rear tyre to the front axle. It is recommended to lay the snow chain over the wheel before fitting it.
Do not fit summer or winter tyres to the rim of the temporary spare wheel.
Never fit two or more temporary spare wheels at the same time.
