Audio System (Vehicles without GPS) - Station Search

~3min read

In any band, the radio allows tuning in five ways:

manually (TUNE), semi-automatically (SEEK), automatically by scanning the band and tuning (SCAN), by automatically programming all preset buttons with stations (AUTO SELECT), or by pressing one of the preset buttons for pre-programmed stations.

MANUAL TUNING (TUNE): The TUNE knob is used for smooth manual tuning to the desired station. Turning the knob clockwise increases the tuning frequency, and turning it counterclockwise decreases the frequency.

SEMI-AUTOMATIC TUNING (SEEK): Pressing the SEEK button causes the radio to search the current band for a station with a strong signal and tune to it. To start seek mode, press and release the leftчасть клавиши SEEK.or rightАВТОМАТИЧЕСКАЯ НАСТРОЙКА В РЕЖИМЕ СКАНИРОВАНИЯ ДИАПАЗОНА (SCAN): Для включенияside of the SEEK button.

AUTOMATIC TUNING IN BAND SCAN MODE (SCAN): To start band scan mode, press and release the SCAN button. The SCAN indicator appears on the display. The radio searches the entire selected band for stations with a strong signal. When a strong station is found, the search stops, and the radio receives that station for approximately 10 seconds.

If no buttons are pressed during this time, the radio resumes scanning the band and searches for the next station, which it also receives for approximately 10 seconds. If the scan finds a station you want to keep listening to, press the SCAN button again.

PRESET BUTTONS:

Each preset button can store one station on the AM or LW band and two stations on the FM band.

1. Select the desired band: AM, LW, or FM. To store two FM stations on any preset button, use the FM1 and FM2 sub-bands.

2. Using the TUNE knob or the SEEK and SCAN buttons, tune the radio to the desired station.

3. Select one of the preset buttons (1 6) for this station, press and hold it until you hear a short beep.

4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 to store the frequencies of all six AM and LW stations and twelve FM stations in the radio memory.

AUTOMATIC MEMORY PROGRAMMING (AUTO SELECT):

If you are away from home and the radio can no longer receive the stations it was preset to, you can quickly (automatically) reprogram all preset buttons with local stations.

Press the A. SEL button. The flashing A.SEL indicator appears on the display, and the radio enters scan mode for several seconds. The radio automatically stores six stations on the FM band on the preset buttons.

The radio may not find enough local stations with a strong signal. In this case, when the corresponding preset button is pressed, the display will show the indicator "0".

If you do not like the stations found by the automatic mode, you can manually reprogram some of the preset buttons with stations as described above.

To turn off the automatic memory programming mode, press the A.SEL button again. This restores access to the station frequencies that were originally programmed.
