Audio System (vehicles equipped with GPS) - Using the CD Player
The CD player is operated using the same knobs and buttons used to tune the radio. The CD player can be used when the ignition switch is in the ACCESSORY (I) and ON (II) positions.

WARNING
Do not use discs with labels attached. The label may peel off and jam in the player mechanism.
The audio system can play self-recorded CD-R and CD-RW discs, including discs in compressed MP3 or WMA formats.
When playing an MP3 disc, the MP3 indicator appears on the audio system display and on the side display. When playing a WMA disc, the WMA indicators appear on both displays.
The maximum number of folders must not exceed 99, and the number of audio tracks must not exceed 255. If the disc has a complex structure, a delay may occur before playback while the system reads the disc structure.
This audio system is not designed to play video discs or DVDs.

When playing WMA compressed discs, this CD player cannot play DRM files. If a DRM file is detected on the disc, the system displays the message "CD FORMAT" (Invalid file format) for a few seconds.
The system then searches for and plays a valid file from the current folder or another folder on the disc.
Insert the compact disc into the disc slot about halfway. The compact disc is then automatically loaded into the playing position, and playback starts.
8 cm compact discs cannot be used in this type of audio system.
If the compact disc being played contains text information, the album name, track name and possibly other data are shown on the display. If an MP3 or WMA disc is played, the display shows: album name, folder number and name, file number and name, and playback time. The system will continue playing the compact disc until you change the audio system mode.
Text information is not displayed if it is not present on the disc.
When playing a compact disc without text information, the current track number and playback time are shown on the display.
You can control the audio system functions from its control panel without using the navigation system display controls.
Audio system settings are shown on the side display. When the navigation system is operating, the audio system settings are also shown on the side display.
