Ultrasonic Sensors (for some vehicle versions)

The ultrasonic sensors operate only after the vehicle security system is activated using the key or the remote keyless entry transmitter. The ultrasonic interior motion detection system detects any movement inside the vehicle (possibly caused by an intruder entering through a window) and triggers the alarm. It is possible to activate only the interior motion detection function of the vehicle.

WARNING

If you activate the security system with the windows open, the alarm may be triggered unexpectedly, since the ultrasonic sensors may react to strong vibration or loud noise from outside the vehicle.

You can set the security system to standby mode without activating the ultrasonic sensors. Pull the driver's door outside handle and press the lock lever.

Release the door handle and close the door.

The security system indicator will light for 3 seconds, then start blinking.

Regardless of whether the ultrasonic detection system is active or not, the security system can be deactivated only with the remote keyless entry transmitter, not with the key.
