Blind Spot Monitoring
For more information, refer to the General Recommendations for driving and manoeuvring aids.

This system warns the driver of a potential danger posed by the presence of another vehicle (car, lorry, motorcycle) in the blind spots of the vehicle (areas hidden from the driver's field of vision), using sensors fitted on the sides of the bumpers.

A warning light appears in the mirror on the relevant side:
- Steady, immediately, when being overtaken.
- Flashing, after a delay of about one second, when slowly overtaking a vehicle and the turn signal is used.
Activation / Deactivation
Settings are made via the Driving / Vehicle menu on the touchscreen.
The status of the system is retained when the ignition is switched off.
The system will be automatically deactivated when towing with a towing device approved by CITROËN.
Operating conditions
- All vehicles are travelling in the same direction and in adjacent lanes.
- Your vehicle's speed is between 12 km/h and 140 km/h.
- When overtaking a vehicle, the speed difference is less than 10 km/h.
- When being overtaken by a vehicle, the speed difference is less than 25 km/h.
- Traffic flow is smooth.
- If an overtaking maneuver is prolonged, the overtaken vehicle remains in the blind spot zone.
- You are driving in a straight line or on a slight curve.
- Your vehicle is not towing a trailer, caravan...
Operating limits

No warning is triggered in the following situations:
- Presence of stationary objects (e.g. parked vehicles, crash barriers, street lamps, signs).
- Vehicles approaching from the opposite direction.
- On winding roads or in sharp bends.
- When overtaking (or being overtaken by) a very long vehicle (e.g. truck, coach) that is both detected in a blind spot zone from behind and within the driver's field of vision ahead.
- Rapid overtaking maneuver.
- Very dense traffic: vehicles detected ahead and behind may be mistaken for a truck or a fixed object.
- Park Assist function is activated.
Malfunction
In the event of a malfunction, this warning lamp comes on in the instrument cluster, accompanied by a message display.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
The system may be temporarily disrupted by certain weather conditions (e.g. rain, hail).
In particular, driving on wet roads or moving from a dry area to a wet area may cause false warnings (e.g. a cloud of water droplets in the blind spot interpreted as a vehicle).
In bad weather or wintry conditions, make sure the sensors are not covered by mud, frost or snow.
Do not cover the warning zone on the exterior mirrors or the detection zones on the front and rear bumpers with adhesive labels or other objects, as these may interfere with the proper operation of the system.
Active Blind Spot Monitoring System
In addition to the steady warning lamp in the mirror on the relevant side, a steering correction will be felt if you attempt to cross a line with the turn indicator activated, to help avoid a collision.
This system combines the Active Lane Departure Warning and Blind Spot Monitoring functions.
Both of these functions must be activated and operating.
The vehicle speed must be between 70 and 140 km/h.
These functions are particularly suited to driving on motorways and expressways.
