REMOVAL
PROCEDURE

1. Loosen the wheel nuts on the applicable wheel. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it on stands. Remove the wheel.
2. Disconnect the flexible brake hose from the strut assembly.
3. Disconnect the stabilizer bar link from the lower suspension arm (refer to Front Stabilizer Bar Removal and Installation).

4. Position a trolley jack under the lower suspension arm to support it with the strut assembly removed. Unscrew the fork pinch bolt.

5. Loosen the nut and remove the through bolt securing the fork to the lower suspension arm.

6. Remove the fork. If necessary, tap the fork with a soft-faced hammer to separate it from the strut.

7. Support the strut assembly and loosen the five nuts of its upper mount. Remove the assembly from under the vehicle through the wheel arch.
