Ball Joint Replacement
In this manual: Suspension and Steering
~1min read
The front suspension of each wheel uses two ball joints. The upper ball joint is installed in the upper control arm assembly, and the lower ball joint is secured in the steering knuckle. The rear suspension uses one ball joint per side, each installed in the upper end of its upper control arm. At the time this Manual was prepared, replacement ball joints were not available separately. If a ball joint fails, the entire corresponding assembly (upper control arm or steering knuckle) must be replaced.
