Installation of Steering Wheel
PROCEDURE
1. Make sure the front wheels are in the straight-ahead position.

2. Make sure the SRS clock spring is centered: the arrow marked TOP must point straight up. If the column shaft did not rotate after the steering wheel was removed, there should be no problem. If for any reason the shaft did rotate, center the clock spring as follows:
a) Turn the clock spring fully clockwise until it stops;
b) Turn the clock spring counterclockwise approximately two and a half turns so that the mark points straight up.
3. Place the steering wheel in its normal position and align the alignment marks made during removal. Make sure the guide pins of the column engage the matching holes on the back of the steering wheel, and that the hub is correctly engaged with the turn signal cancelling mechanism. Install the hub onto the steering shaft splines, screw in the mounting bolt and tighten it to the specified torque.

4. Connect the horn and (if equipped) temperature sensor connectors.
5. Install the SRS module, securing it with new TORX bolts. Make sure the bolts are tightened to the specified torque. Install the screw access covers.
6. Join the two halves of the SRS clock spring connector.
7. Install the access cover on the steering wheel assembly.
