Removal and Installation of Front Lower Control Arm
PROCEDURE
1. Loosen the wheel nuts of the corresponding front wheel. Raise the vehicle and support it on safety stands. Remove the wheel.
2. Remove the through bolt and disconnect the damper fork from the lower control arm assembly (see Removal and Installation of Front Coil Spring Strut Assembly).
3. Disconnect the thrust arm from the lower control arm (see Removal and Installation of Front Suspension Thrust Arm).
4. Disconnect the stabilizer bar link from the lower control arm (see Removal and Installation of Front Stabilizer Bar).

5. Remove the cotter pin and loosen the castellated nut of the lower arm ball joint stud. Do not remove the nut completely yet. Using a 2-jaw puller, separate the arm from the ball joint secured in the steering knuckle. Then remove the castellated nut completely.

6. Remove the through bolt from the inner side of the lower control arm. Remove the arm.
7. Install in the reverse order. Be sure to replace the cotter pin securing the ball joint castellated nut (see Note to Step 3 of Removal and Installation of Steering Knuckle).
