Instrument Cluster Removal and Installation
The vehicles covered by this Manual are equipped with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). Before performing any work near the airbag module, steering column or instrument panel, disable the SRS to avoid injury from accidental deployment (see Section Airbags - General Information). SRS wiring can be easily identified by its yellow insulation.
PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable first, then the positive cable.
If the vehicle's audio system is equipped with an anti-theft code, make sure you have the correct code to activate the audio system before disconnecting the battery!
2. Remove the instrument panel trim (see Chapter Body).
3. Remove the mounting screws, carefully remove the instrument cluster from its opening in the panel, and disconnect the electrical connectors from the rear of the assembly.

4. Installation is performed in the reverse order. Be sure to reconnect the battery (positive cable first, then negative).
