Headlamp Bulb Replacement
Halogen bulbs are filled with pressurized gas and may explode if subjected to sharp shocks. Handle such bulbs only by the base and wear protective goggles. Note that touching the glass with bare fingers leaves oil deposits, which cause the bulb to overheat and fail prematurely. Clean the bulb glass with alcohol before installation.
PROCEDURE
1. Open the hood.
2. To release the lock, squeeze the connector body behind the bulb.

3. Turn the bulb holder assembly counterclockwise (viewed from the rear of the headlamp).
If necessary, first remove the engine coolant expansion tank (when replacing the right headlamp bulb on 4-cylinder models and the left on V6 models).
4. Remove the bulb holder assembly from the headlamp housing.
5. Pull the bulb out of the holder.
6. If it is necessary to replace the holder, disconnect the wiring from it.
7. Without touching the glass with bare fingers, insert the new bulb into the holder, then install the assembly into the headlamp, making sure the locking tabs align with the slots in the housing. After inserting the assembly into the mounting hole, turn it clockwise until it stops to lock.
8. Connect the wiring and check that the headlamp operates correctly.
