Tire Rotation
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1. Tires should be rotated periodically, or when uneven tire wear is found. Since the vehicle must be raised to rotate the wheels, it is advisable to also inspect the brakes at the same time (see Subsection 2.7.1).

2. Radial tires are rotated in the sequence shown in the illustration.
3. If the brakes are to be inspected, release the parking brake. Always chock the wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
4. It is recommended to raise the entire vehicle with a lift, or raise it with a jack at each corner and lower it onto stands placed under the body sill pinch welds. The vehicle must be lowered onto four stands; make sure the vehicle is securely supported.
5. After rotation, check and, if necessary, adjust the tire pressure, and check the wheel nut torque.
6. For detailed information on wheels and tires, see Subsection 10.21.
