Inspection and Adjustment of Clutch Pedal Free Play

1. Lightly press the pedal until resistance to movement is felt, and use a small steel rule to measure the distance from the fully released pedal position to the point where resistance to further travel begins.
2. Clutch pedal free play must be within the normal range. If the free play does not meet the specification, adjust it.

3. Loosen the lock nut (1) of the clutch master cylinder pushrod fork near the pedal. Adjust the clutch master cylinder pushrod free play, pedal height (4) and pedal free play (3) by loosening the lock nuts and turning the pushrod or adjusting bolt (2).
4. While turning the pushrod, adjust the clutch pedal free play and the pushrod free play.
5. Tighten the lock nut.
6. After adjusting the clutch pedal free play, check the distance from the pedal to the body floor anti-corrosion coating.
7. If this distance differs from the specification, loosen the lock nut of the adjusting bolt and turn the bolt until the required distance is obtained. After adjustment, tighten the nut.
