GENERAL INFORMATION
Fuel filler cap (with a latch-locked door)

To open the fuel filler door, pull the lever up.

* When refueling the vehicle, do not smoke or use open flame. Refuel only with the engine stopped.

* Do not open the fuel cap quickly. In hot weather, quickly opening the cap may cause pressurized fuel to spray out suddenly and cause injury.

To open the fuel tank cap, slowly turn the cap counterclockwise, then wait a moment and remove the cap. Place the cap in the holder on the fuel filler door.

Opening the filler neck always produces a characteristic sound. When installing the cap, turn it clockwise until it clicks.
* Make sure the cap is tightly closed. If the cap is not tightly closed, fuel may spill in the event of an accident.
When replacing the fuel tank cap, use only a genuine Toyota cap. The cap has a built-in vent valve that connects the inside of the fuel tank with the atmosphere when fuel is consumed.
