Headlights and Turn Signals

To turn on the headlights, turn the knob at the end of the lever. On some vehicles, the following lights come on when the engine is started (headlight switch in the Off position). First click position: only the parking lights, tail lights, license plate lights and instrument panel lights come on. Second click position: headlights come on.
On vehicles equipped with a headlight beam level adjuster, set the desired beam level before turning on the headlights (see subsection 1.5.20).
If the ignition key is in the LOCK position with the headlights on, a warning chime will sound when the driver's door is opened to remind you to turn off the headlights.

To turn on the high beams, turn the knob away from you. To turn on the low beams, turn the knob toward you. To flash the headlights, turn the knob further toward you. To turn on the high beams, the switch must be in the second click position. The blue high beam indicator on the instrument panel will illuminate. The flash function remains active even if the switch knob is in the Off position.

To operate the turn signal, move the lever up or down until it stops. The ignition switch must be in the ON position. The turn signal cancels automatically after the turn is completed, but it can also be canceled manually. To signal a lane change, move the turn signal lever up or down to the intermediate position and hold it there. A faster flashing rate of the green indicator lamp indicates a burned-out front or rear turn signal bulb.
