Voltmeter and Tachometer

Voltmeter
The voltmeter indicates the battery voltage. With the engine running, the needle should be within the range shown in the illustration.
If the needle is outside the indicated range with the engine running, this indicates a malfunction of the battery charging system and the need for repair.
When the engine is started, the voltmeter needle moves out of the normal voltage range and deflects downward.

Tachometer
The tachometer indicates the engine speed in thousands of rpm.
Watch the tachometer when shifting gears to avoid overloading the engine when the speed rises above the rated value.
Driving at high engine speeds leads to premature wear and increased fuel consumption. Remember that the lower the engine speed, the higher the economy.
* Do not drive with the tachometer needle in the red zone; otherwise the engine will quickly fail.
