Coolant temperature gauge

Type A
1. Overheating
2. Normal temperature

Type B 1. Overheating
2. Normal temperature
The gauge operates when the ignition switch is in the On position.
The engine coolant temperature depends on engine load and weather conditions. If the needle is in the red zone or above, stop the vehicle and allow the engine to cool.
Engine overheating is possible under severe driving conditions:
– during prolonged climbing in hot weather;
– when reducing speed or stopping the vehicle after high-speed driving;
– during prolonged idling with the air conditioner on and frequent stops while driving;
– when the vehicle is used for towing.
* Do not remove the thermostat. Driving without a thermostat will cause
the engine to overheat. The thermostat regulates the flow of coolant and maintains the engine temperature within operating limits.
* Do not drive with an overheated engine.
