Checking belt tension.

PROCEDURE.

1. Install the tool on the belt.

2. If belt tension is insufficient, adjust the tension.

PROCEDURE.

1. Install the tool on the belt.

2. Loosen the alternator mounting and pivot the alternator to obtain the specified belt tension.

3. Tighten the alternator mounting.
