Remove or disconnect

Removal of Rack A. PRESS OR DRIVE THE PLUG OUT OF THE HOUSING BY MOVING THE RACK.

B. APPLY LITHIUM-BASE GREASE TO THE RACK TEETH.

PROCEDURE.

1. Screw the tie-rod mounting bolt into the rack hole. Press out or drive out the plug 35 from the housing by moving the rack.

2. Unscrew the bolt. Remove the rack 34 from the housing.

Installation

PROCEDURE.

1. Apply lithium grease to the rack teeth.

2. Insert the rack 34 into the housing.

3. Install the plug 35 in the housing hole.
