Beschreibung und bedienung

Beschreibung

This sensor is located in the sensor housing and generates alternating current through the magnetic field produced by the sensor and the reluctor wheel when the engine rotates. The reluctor wheel has 58 slots and 2 missing teeth at a crank angle of 360° (California). With the ISG system, the ISG function receives reliable crankshaft position information in all operating modes. The CKPS in the ISG function ensures a short engine restart time and efficient combustion.

OPERATION

[ISG]

There are two separate channels for speed and direction.

Repair Procedures

INSPECTION

  1. Check the CMPS and CKPS signal waveforms with the KDS.

    Specification: Refer to Waveform

Removal

  1. Zündung ausschalten und Minuspol (-) der Batterie abklemmen.

  2. Stecker (A) des Kurbelwinkelsensors abklemmen.

  3. Untere Motorraumabdeckung abbauen.

(Siehe Kapitel Motormechanik - "Untere Motorabdeckung")

  4. Remove the sensor (A) by loosening the mounting bolt.

    CKP sensor mounting bolt: 9.8 ~ 11.8 N·m

Installation

Waveform

[Without ISG type]

The illustration above shows the normal waveforms of the crankshaft position sensor (CKPS) and camshaft position sensor (CMPS) at idle. The PCM uses these signals to control fuel injection and ignition timing.
