Beschreibung

The rail pressure sensor (RPS) is installed on the fuel rail and measures the instantaneous fuel pressure in the fuel rail. The built-in sensing element (semiconductor element) converts the pressure into a voltage signal, which the ECM uses to precisely control injection quantity and duration. If the actual pressure calculated from the sensor output signal deviates from the target rail pressure, the rail pressure is adjusted by the rail pressure control valve.

INSPECTION

1. 1

   KDS an den Diagnosesteckverbinder (DLC) anschließen.

2. 2

   Measure the RPS output voltage at idle and at various engine speeds.

Removal

1. 1

   Restlichen Druck aus der Kraftstoffleitung ablassen.

   (Siehe Kraftstoffversorgung - «Restdruck in Kraftstoffleitung ablassen»).

2. 2

   Zündung ausschalten und Minuspol (-) der Batterie abklemmen.

3. 3

   Ansaugkrümmer ausbauen.

   Kraftstoffverteilerrohr und Einspritzventil ausbauen.

   (Siehe Kraftstoffsystem - "Förderleitung")

5. 5

   Disconnect the rail pressure sensor connector (A), then remove the sensor from the fuel rail.

   Rail pressure sensor: 30.0~35 N·m

   

Installation

1. Der Einbau erfolgt in der umgekehrten Reihenfolge des Ausbaus.
