PROCEDURE

Tailgate Wiper 1 – electric motor with washer pump; 2 – clamp; 3 – bushing; 4 – hose; 5 – reservoir; 6 – screw; 7 – nut; 8 – seal; 9 – washer; 10 – shaft housing; 11 – shaft with drive arm; 12 – link; 13 – motor arm; 14 – nut; 15 – bolt; 16 – spring washer; 17 – spacer bushing; 18 – rubber bushing; 19 – electric motor with gearbox; 20 – bracket; 21 – bolt; 22 – bolt; 23 – spring washer; 24 – spring washer; 25 – bushing; 26 – washer; 27 – retaining ring; 28 – wiper arm; 29 – wiper blade; 30 – spring washer; 31 – nut; 32 – tailgate; 33 – decorative cap; 34 – washer nozzle; 35 – reservoir plug

Installing the Tailgate Wiper Motor Arm 1 – bracket; 2 – motor; 3 – arm

Removal PROCEDURE 1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. 2. Open the tailgate. 3. Remove the tailgate trim. 4. Disconnect the wires from motor 19. 5. Disconnect link 12 from motor arm 13. 6. Unscrew three bolts 15 securing bracket 20. 7. Remove bracket 20 with the motor. 8. Unscrew nut 14 on the motor shaft. 9. Remove motor arm 13. 10. Unscrew three bolts securing the motor to the bracket. 11. Remove motor 19 from bracket 20. Installation PROCEDURE 1. Install motor 19 on bracket 20 and tighten three bolts 21. 2. Position arm 13 as shown in the illustration Installing the Tailgate Wiper Motor Arm, and tighten nut 14 (see illustration

Rear window wiper). 3. Install bracket 20 with motor into tailgate 32. 4. Tighten bolts 15. 5. Install rod 12 onto ball pin of lever 13. 6. Connect wires to motor 19. 7. Install trim on tailgate. 8. Connect wire to negative terminal of battery. 9. Check operation of rear window wiper.
