Front Headlamp - Bulb Replacement

Headlamp Components 1 – parking light bulb socket; 2 – parking light bulb; 3 – headlamp bracket; 4 – horizontal aiming screw; 5 – headlamp housing; 6 – lens; 7 – vertical aiming screw; 8 – retainer; 9 – screw; 10 – headlamp bulb; 11 – spring retainer; 12 – vertical aiming screw socket

PROCEDURE Headlamp bulb 1. Disconnect the wiring connector. 2. Remove the rubber cover. 3. Press back the spring retainer 11 (see illustration Headlamp Components). 4. Remove bulb 10. 5. Install the new bulb so that the tab on the bulb engages the slot in the headlamp. 6. Install spring retainer 11. 7. Install the rubber cover. 8. Connect the wiring connector. 9. Adjust the headlamp aim. Parking light bulb 10. Turn socket 1 of the parking light bulb and remove the socket with the bulb. 11. Press on bulb 2 and turn it to remove it from socket 1. 12. Insert a new bulb into the socket. 13. Insert the socket with the bulb into the headlamp and turn it until it stops.

Headlight Removal and Installation

Removal PROCEDURE 1. Disconnect the wiring connector. 2. Remove the parking light bulb. 3. Remove the radiator grille trim. 4. Unscrew the four screws 9 securing headlamp bracket 3. 5. Remove bracket 3 with the headlamp. 6. Unscrew aiming screw 4. 7. Turn vertical aiming screw 7 by 90° and remove it together with retainer 8. 8. Remove the headlamp from bracket 3. Installation Install the headlamp in the reverse order of removal.
