Rear Window Defogger

Location of the rear window defroster button

The defroster is designed to remove frost, fogging and icing from the rear window, both inside and outside the vehicle. The ignition must be on to operate the defroster.

The defroster will turn on when the rear window defroster button is pressed.
The rear window defroster will turn off automatically after 15 minutes or when the ignition is turned off.

To turn off the defroster, press the defroster button again. If there is a large amount of snow on the rear window, remove the snow before turning on the defroster.

To prevent damage to the flat heating conductors on the rear window, never use sharp objects or abrasive cleaners to clean the glass.

The rear window defroster operates only when the engine is running.
