Heating and Ventilation System
The heating and ventilation control panel is shown in the illustration.

Heating and ventilation control panel:
1 – Blower speed switch;
2 – Air outlet mode selector knob;
3 – Air temperature control knob;
4 – Air intake mode selector switch.
BLOWER SPEED SWITCH
The switch is used to turn the blower on and off and to select its speed. The blower speed, and therefore the airflow from the ventilation system, can be adjusted manually by turning the switch between positions "1" and "4".

AIR INTAKE MODE SELECTOR SWITCH
The switch is used to change the ventilation mode between fresh air intake and recirculation.

Fresh air mode
Outside air enters the vehicle interior and is heated or cooled depending on the selection of other functions.

Recirculation mode
Air inside the vehicle interior is recirculated and heated or cooled depending on the selection of other functions.
Using recirculation mode for a long period of time may cause the windshield and side windows to fog up, and the air inside the vehicle will become stale. Furthermore, prolonged operation of the air conditioner in recirculation mode may cause the air inside the vehicle to become too dry.
AIR OUTLET MODE SELECTION

The air outlet mode selector knob is used to select the direction of airflow.

To head level
Airflow through the vents is directed to the upper part of the vehicle interior.

To foot/head level
Air is directed through the vents to the upper part of the vehicle interior and to the footwell. This allows warm air to be directed to the feet through the floor vents, while not heated or slightly heated air is directed through the upper vents.

To foot level
Air is directed only to the footwell.

To foot level / to windshield and side window defroster vents
Air is directed through the vents to the footwell, as well as to the windshield and door glass. When the (windshield and side window defroster) mode is selected, the air conditioner will be turned on automatically.

To windshield and side window defroster vents
Air is directed through the vents only to the windshield and vehicle door glass. When the (windshield and side window defroster) mode is selected, the air conditioner will be turned on automatically.
AIR TEMPERATURE CONTROL KNOB
The knob is used to turn the heater on and off and to select the desired air temperature.
