Do not remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot, as the cooling system is under pressure and opening the cap may cause hot coolant to spray out, resulting in severe burns. Wait until the engine has cooled before removing the radiator cap.

If the gauge needle moves from the normal range toward the "H" position, the engine is overheating, which may cause engine damage. Open the hood and check the coolant level in the reservoir tank and the condition and tension of the water pump drive belt.
