Airbags
The vehicle is equipped with a supplemental passive safety system (airbags) SRS. The presence of this system can be identified by the "SRS AIR BAG" label on the airbag cover in the steering wheel and on the passenger-side dashboard trim above the glove box. The SRS system consists of airbags installed behind the covers in the center of the steering wheel and in the passenger-side dashboard above the glove box. The purpose of the supplemental SRS passive safety system is to provide additional protection for the driver and/or front passenger in addition to the seat belt system in frontal collisions of medium or high severity.

Driver airbag location
Be sure to read the SRS information on the labels located on the back of the driver-side sun visor and inside the glove box.
As the name SRS implies, this system is designed to supplement and work together with the driver's and front passenger's three-point seat belts and is not a replacement for them. Therefore, you must always wear your seat belt while in the vehicle. Furthermore, the airbags deploy only in very severe impacts when the collision occurs at an angle of 30° from the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, and do not deploy in side or rear impacts or if the vehicle rolls over. In addition, the airbags deploy only once. Therefore, always wear your seat belt.
The driver should sit back as far as possible from the steering wheel while maintaining control of the vehicle. If you sit too close to the airbag, its deployment may cause serious injury or even death.
Do not place any objects on or near the airbag in the steering wheel, instrument panel, or front panel above the glove box, as such objects may cause injury if the airbag deploys in a collision.
If an airbag has deployed, it must be replaced by an authorized Hyundai dealer.
Do not attempt to repair or disconnect SRS wiring or other SRS components. This may result in injury caused by accidental airbag deployment or in damage to the SRS system.
Do not install a child safety seat in the front passenger seat. In an accident, if the airbag deploys, children may be seriously injured.
Do not allow children to ride in the front passenger seat. If older children are allowed to ride in the front seat, make sure they are properly restrained and that the seat is moved as far back as possible.
To ensure maximum protection in all types of collisions, all occupants, including the driver, must always wear seat belts regardless of whether the seat has an airbag, in order to minimize the risk of injury in a traffic accident. Do not lean too close to the airbag while the vehicle is moving.
To provide protection in a collision, the SRS airbags are inflated with gas with great force. If an occupant is not wearing a seat belt, the inflating airbag may strike them forcefully, which may cause serious injury.
