Overdrive Off Indicator Light (automatic transmission models only)
When overdrive is engaged, the overdrive off indicator light is off. When overdrive is disengaged, this light illuminates amber.

Turn Signal Indicator Lights
A green arrow on the instrument panel flashes in the direction of the turn. If the arrow illuminates but does not flash, flashes faster than usual, or does not illuminate at all, this indicates a malfunction in the turn signal circuits.

Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Warning Light
When the ignition switch is turned to the "ON" position, the ABS warning light illuminates and then goes off after a few seconds.
If this light stays on, illuminates while driving, or does not come on after the ignition switch is turned to the "ON" position, this indicates a malfunction in the anti-lock brake system (ABS).
If this occurs, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Hyundai dealer as soon as possible. The standard brake system will continue to operate, but without anti-lock brake system (ABS) assistance.

High beam indicator lamp
This indicator light illuminates when the high beams are on.

Seat Belt Warning Light
This warning light illuminates when the ignition switch is turned from the "LOCK" position to the "ON" or "START" position and remains on until the seat belt is fastened.

Oil Pressure Warning Light
Driving with low engine oil level or with the oil pressure warning light illuminated may cause engine damage (scoring, seizure, etc.). If this light illuminates while the engine is running, the engine oil pressure is below the minimum allowable value. In normal operation, this light illuminates when the ignition switch is turned to the "ON" position and goes off after the engine starts. If the light remains on after the engine starts, there is a serious engine malfunction. In this case, stop the vehicle in a safe place immediately, stop the engine, and check the oil level. If the oil level is below the minimum allowable level, add oil to the normal level and restart the engine. If the light remains on after the engine starts, stop the engine immediately. In any case, if the oil pressure warning light remains on after the engine starts, contact the nearest authorized Hyundai dealer before using the vehicle.

Parking Brake/Brake Fluid Low Level Warning Light
The parking brake/brake fluid low level warning lamp should illuminate when the parking brake is applied and when the ignition key is turned to the "ON" or "START" position. With the parking brake released, this lamp should go off after the engine starts. When the parking brake is released, the parking brake/brake fluid low level warning lamp should illuminate when the ignition key is turned to the "ON" or "START" position and go off after the engine starts. If this lamp illuminates at any other time, reduce vehicle speed and stop the vehicle completely at a safe location on the shoulder of the road. The brake warning lamp indicates that the brake fluid level in the hydraulic brake reservoir has dropped below the minimum allowable level and brake fluid of type DOT3 or DOT4 must be added. After adding brake fluid, if no other malfunctions are found, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Hyundai dealer immediately. If a brake system malfunction is detected, do not drive the vehicle. Have it transported to an authorized Hyundai dealer for inspection using a professional towing service.
The Hyundai vehicle is equipped with a dual-circuit diagonal brake system. This means that even if one brake circuit is damaged, you will still be able to use two wheels for braking. In this case, greater pedal force and greater brake pedal travel will be required to stop the vehicle. Furthermore, the braking distance of the vehicle will be increased.
If one of the brake circuits fails, shift to a lower gear to use engine braking to slow the vehicle.

Battery discharge warning lamp
The lamp illuminates when the ignition key is in the "ON" position and goes off after the engine starts. If the warning lamp remains illuminated after the engine starts, there is a malfunction in the charging system.
If the warning lamp illuminates while driving, stop the vehicle immediately and check the condition and tension of the generator drive belt. Then contact an authorized Hyundai dealer to inspect the charging system.
Loosening or breaking of the generator drive belt while driving may cause serious engine damage. The engine may overheat, since this belt also drives the water pump.

Door ajar warning lamp
The lamp illuminates when any of the side doors or the rear (tailgate) door is not closed or is not fully closed.

Fuel reserve warning lamp
The lamp illuminates when the fuel level in the fuel tank reaches the minimum allowable reserve level. If the lamp is illuminated, refuel the vehicle as soon as possible. Driving with the fuel reserve warning lamp illuminated or when the fuel level is below the "E" (Empty) mark may cause engine misfire and damage to the catalytic converter.

Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) warning lamp (SRI)
The SRS warning lamp (SRI) illuminates and flashes for approximately 6 seconds after the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position or after the engine starts, then goes off.
The warning lamp also illuminates if there is a malfunction in the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). If the SRI lamp does not illuminate, or remains continuously illuminated after flashing for approximately 6 seconds after the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position, or illuminates while driving, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Hyundai dealer for the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS).
Brake pad wear warning sound
The front brake pads are equipped with a wear indicator which produces a squealing noise as the brake pad wears, signaling that the front brake pads must be replaced. While driving, this noise may appear and disappear or be constant. It may also be heard when the brake pedal is pressed firmly. Driving with worn brake pads may damage the expensive brake disc.

Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)
The lamp illuminates when a malfunction is detected in components related to the exhaust emission control systems. The lamp illuminates when the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position and goes off after a few seconds. If the lamp illuminates while driving, or does not illuminate after the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position, have the vehicle inspected by the nearest authorized Hyundai dealer.
Warning buzzer
The warning buzzer sounds when the tail lamps are on and the driver's door is open.
