Interior Upholstery and Carpet Care
Every three months, remove the floor mats and carpets and clean the interior trim panels. If necessary, this procedure may be performed more often. To remove debris, as well as to clean mats and carpets, a stiff brush or broom can be used. Then vacuum all surfaces thoroughly, especially along seams, joints and folds of the material.
Ingrained dirt can be removed from carpets using household or special automotive shampoos, which for convenience are available in aerosol form - follow the manufacturers' instructions. Finally, vacuum the treated area and fluff the pile with a stiff brush.
Do not leave any electric heating devices inside the vehicle to dry cleaned upholstery!
Leather upholstery requires special care. Stains should be removed using a very weak soap solution of warm water. Apply the solution with a soft cloth, then wipe the surface dry. Under no circumstances use alcohol, gasoline or other solvents of any kind to wipe leather upholstery.
Avoid prolonged exposure of leather upholstery to direct sunlight. Park the vehicle in the shade whenever possible, use sunshades, etc.
