The lid is heavy, so it is advisable to use an assistant.

PROCEDURE

1. After installing the door, close it and check its alignment in the body opening. To adjust the door position, loosen the hinge bolts and move the hinge straps within the range allowed by the elongated bolt holes. After adjusting the door position, be sure to tighten the fasteners.

2. To adjust the height of the door assembly in the body opening, loosen the striker assembly mounting bolts, adjust the striker position accordingly, then retighten the fasteners.

Before loosening the bolts, outline the striker base plate with a marker for alignment.
3. Finally, adjust the door closing firmness by changing the height of the rubber bump stops. In the closed position, the door surface must be flush with the surrounding body panels.
