Luggage Compartment Lid Removal and Installation

The lid is heavy, so it is advisable to use an assistant.

PROCEDURE

1. Open the luggage compartment lid and securely hold it in the fully open position. Cover the painted edges of the luggage compartment opening with protective pads or old blankets.
2. Disconnect the wiring connectors for the license plate lamps, tail lamps and the luggage compartment lock actuator. Release the wiring from the door assembly and remove the lock actuator (refer to Luggage Compartment Lid Lock Latch and Cylinder Removal and Installation and Luggage Compartment Lid and Fuel Filler Door Release Cables).

3. Outline the hinge straps with a marker.

4. Выверните болты крепления петель к дверной сборке и при помощи ассистента

4. Remove the hinge bolts securing the hinges to the door assembly and, with the help of an assistant, remove the assembly.

5. Installation is performed in the reverse order. Make sure the hinge straps are positioned according to the marks made during removal.
