The vehicles covered in this Manual are equipped with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). Before performing any work near the airbag module, steering column or instrument panel, disconnect the SRS to avoid injury from accidental deployment (refer to the Electrical Systems Section). SRS wiring can be easily identified by its yellow insulation.

If the vehicle is equipped with an audio system with an anti-theft code, make sure you have the correct code to activate the audio system before disconnecting the battery!

PROCEDURE

1. On vehicles with tilt steering, lower the steering wheel to the lowest position.

2. Remove the mounting screws, separate the cover into upper and lower halves, and remove it.

3. Installation is the reverse of removal.
