Outside Mirrors
PROCEDURE

1. On models equipped with power mirrors, remove the door trim panel and water shield (refer to Door Trim Panel Removal and Installation).
2. Using a screwdriver, pry off the triangular trim panel of the mirror base.
3. On vehicles so equipped, disconnect the mirror wiring.

5. Installation is the reverse of removal.

1. Push the mirror assembly downward to release the base of its bracket from the mounting plate bonded to the windshield.

The bracket is secured in the plate by a spring retainer, which, if necessary, should be pried up with a screwdriver.

2. If removed, install the spring clip in place. Rotate the mirror assembly 90° and insert the support part of its bracket into the mounting bracket on the glass base. Push the assembly up, then rotate it back to its normal position. Make sure the assembly is securely retained in the mounting bracket.
