A telescopic antenna made of stainless steel is used in the vehicle to receive AM and FM signals. Extend the antenna by hand as shown in the illustration.

Extending the Antenna

Before washing the vehicle in an automatic car wash or entering a low-ceilinged area, always retract the antenna.

Power Antenna

The antenna will extend automatically when the radio is powered on with the ignition key in the "ON" or "ACC" position. The antenna will retract automatically either when the radio is powered off or when the ignition key is turned to the "LOCK" position.
