During the First 2000 km (1200 miles)

No special break-in procedure is required for your new vehicle. However, you can help extend the service life, improve fuel economy, and maintain the high performance of your new Hyundai vehicle by observing the following guidelines during the first 2000 km (1200 miles).

PROCEDURE

Do not exceed 88 km/h.
While driving, keep the engine speed between 2000 and 4000 min-1 (rpm).

Do not operate the vehicle at maximum acceleration.

Avoid starting off at full throttle.

Avoid sudden braking during the first 300 km (190 miles), except in emergency situations. This helps the brake pad linings wear in properly.
Do not overload the engine (in other words, avoid driving slowly in too high a gear; shift to a lower gear).
On vehicles equipped with a catalytic converter, do not let the engine idle for more than 3 minutes.
Avoid towing a trailer during the first 2000 km (1200 miles).
