To prevent damage to the threads of the parking brake adjusting rod during maintenance and repair of the parking brake system, follow the instructions below.

Clean.

PROCEDURE.

1. Before adjusting the parking brake with the nut, clean the

exposed threads of the adjusting rod.

2. Before turning the nut, lubricate the threads of the adjusting rod.
