Brake Hoses (Front)

GENERAL INFORMATION

Brake Line Layout.

1. BRAKE HOSE LH.

2. BRAKE LINE.

3. BRAKE HOSE RH.

4. MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER.

5. BRAKE LINE BRACKET.

6. BRAKE HOSE RH.

7. LEFT BRAKE HOSE.

8. LINE RETAINER

Front Right Brake Hose

2. BRAKE LINE.

3. RIGHT FRONT BRAKE HOSE.

5. RETAINING PLATE.

10. CALIPER RH.

11. BANJO BOLT.

12. GASKET

Remove or disconnect:

LEFT SIDE.

PROCEDURE.

1. Raise the vehicle.

2. Brake line from the hose.

3. Retaining plate and brake hose from the bracket in the wheel well.

4. Banjo bolt 11 from brake caliper 10, gasket 12, and the hose.

RIGHT SIDE.

PROCEDURE.

1. Brake line from the hose.

2. Retaining plate.

3. Brake hose from the bracket.

4. Banjo bolt 11 from brake caliper 10, gasket 12, and the hose.

Installation

PROCEDURE.

1. Install the new brake hose to the caliper using new gaskets and a banjo bolt.

2. Install the left hose with the retaining plate to the bracket in the wheel well. Tighten the bracket bolt to 80 N·m.

3. Connect the brake line to the hose. Tighten the connection to 16 N·m.

4. Install the right hose to the bracket on the side of the subframe (correctly orient

the flat sides).

5. Install the retaining plate.

6. Connect the brake line to the hose. Tighten the connection to 16 N·m.

7. Lower the vehicle.

8. Bleed air from the system.

9. Check the system for leaks.
