The master cylinder is designed for a dual-circuit brake system with a diagonal circuit split. The dual-section master cylinder.
with a diagonal brake circuit separation. One pair of front and
rear brakes is served by the front piston, and the second pair diagonally
opposite wheel cylinders is served by the rear piston. The dual-section brake
master cylinder is additionally equipped with a brake fluid level sensor in the reservoir and brake proportioning valves (pressure regulating valves).
When repairing the brake master cylinder, replace all parts included in the repair kit.
To ease installation, lubricate the rubber parts with fresh brake fluid.
Do not blow or dry brake hydraulic components with compressed air from the shop air line, as oil contained in the compressed air will damage the rubber seals.
When removing or disconnecting brake lines and hydraulic components, it is necessary to
after assembly, bleed air from the entire system or individual circuits.
The specified torque values for threaded connections apply to dry fasteners
without lubricant.
All repair work must be performed on a clean workbench. Take precautions to prevent contamination of parts.
Prevent contamination of the hydraulic system with mineral oils.
