Removal

  • Open the hood.

  • Press the release lever on the lock plate in the opening direction and unhook the Bowden cable from the lever.

  • Unhook the cable sheath from the anchor bracket.

  • Mark the installed position of the lock plate mounting bolts. To do so, circle the bolt heads with a felt-tip pen.

  • Unscrew the lock plate and remove it.

Installation

  • Install the lock plate, align it according to the marks and tighten the bolts.

  • Hook the Bowden cable onto the anchor bracket and the lock lever.

  • If necessary, adjust the lock plate. To do so, loosen the 3 bolts and move the striker plate. Then tighten the bolts.
