Removal

  • Remove the tailgate interior trim, see "Remove and install the tailgate".

  • Unscrew the tailgate lock and pull it out slightly.

  • Disconnect the pull rod from the lock cylinder and remove the lock completely.

Installation

  • Hook the pull rod of the lock cylinder onto the lock.

  • Position the lock and tighten the screws.

  • Install the inner trim panel for the tailgate.
