PROCEDURE

1. Depress the accelerator pedal fully and release it.

Before starting a cold engine, depress the accelerator pedal fully and release it.

2. Turn the ignition key to the "START" position. Release the key when the engine starts.

Do not start the engine with a gear engaged.

Do not leave the vehicle unattended while the engine is warming up. If the vehicle is in a garage, make sure the garage doors are open. It is dangerous to leave the vehicle running, even with the garage doors open. Do not run the engine in a garage longer than necessary to start the engine and drive the vehicle out of the garage.
